We were recently awarded the opportunity to team up with architectural firm L'Heureux, Page, Werner as part of the design team for Phase I of a new district-wide improvement project for the Missoula County Public Schools. The project represents a chance for the engineering team to contribute meaningfully to the community by enhancing conditions for students both presently and in the future.

The aging educational facilities throughout Missoula are struggling to maintain adequate learning conditions. The heating, plumbing and electrical systems in buildings throughout Missoula County Public Schools are woefully outdated and inefficient. Equipment failures leave students without proper climate control, and maintenance expenses exceed what prudent management would allow. The district initiated a bond proposal seeking voter approval for essential facility improvements.

As members of the design team, the engineers will modernize heating and cooling infrastructure to meet contemporary efficiency and performance benchmarks throughout the district's buildings.

The firm possesses substantial experience in educational settings and understands renovation complexities in historic structures. Restoring the Historic Lowell School to current standards while preserving architectural integrity presents an engaging professional challenge.

The initiative remains preliminary pending bond approval. Design work was slated to begin November 5th. Development would proceed on an accelerated timeline, with initial construction anticipated for June 2016.
